Mixers hard at work! (Telling jokes and laughing behind their masks)
Did you know…?
St. Johns Plum Puddings have been a tradition here for over half a century! That’s more than 7,000 puddings we have made over the years!!! We are well-known in the community for bringing this Christmas cheer, and folks come year after year to get their Traditional Christmas Pudding. Most years, we make 200 puddings and have continued during Covid; in 2020 we made a “modest” 125 that sold out immediately! We have made 165 for sale this year.
Making plum puddings takes:
* Approximately 30 volunteers.
* Mixing is done over 2 work parties totalling 6 hours
* Cooking is done by steaming for 5 hours.
* The present coordinator has been at the helm for 25 years and is not about to give up!
* Generous donations from Community Partners make this a very successful fundraiser for our ACW.
We wish to THANK:
Agrigrowers, Atlantic Poultry Inc., Carl’s Independant, Family 1st Medical, KFC, Reid’s Meats, Sobeys and Superstore.

Our Puddings are made with sugar & spice, loads of fruit, and an abundance of love cooked right in!  There is no measure for the great fellowship it brings to our parishioners. ❤️

Recipe options for your favourite sauce are on the Tag attached.
Please note: They are suet NOT Gluten or Dairy free & Suet enriched.
