A team from St. John’s joined the Hike for Hospice on Sunday, May 3, in support of the compassionate end-of-life care that Valley Hospice provides in our community. Although the rain and chilly weather greeted us, it certainly did not dampen our spirits. We joined the more than 200 hikers, opting for the 3 km route along the Harvest Moon Trail in Coldbrook.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of St. John’s parishioners, we raised more than $1,000 toward the purchase of two cuddle beds for Valley Hospice. These specialized beds allow loved ones to remain close and comfortable together during end-of-life care, offering comfort and connection when it matters most.

St. John’s deeply values our connection with Valley Hospice and is grateful
for the compassionate care provided by staff and volunteers to individuals
and families experiencing life-limiting illness, end-of-life journeys, and
bereavement.
