Lenten Bible Study & Compline

Throughout Lent, members of St John’s gathered on Wednesday evenings for an hour to explore together the scripture passages according to the lectionary.  The discussion was led by the Rector.  Attendance varied week by week, but there were always enough people present for a lively conversation.  Following the discussion, we moved into the choir stalls to share a short service of Compline together, led by the Rector and a quartet of singers.  The discussion created food for thought for the rest of the week, and Compline provided a sense of deep peace in which to head off into the night.
