Announcing our new rector!

On Sunday morning, July 4, 2021, the excitement in the air was palpable, for not only was it our first service back at St John’s post-lockdown, but also our parishioners were expecting to hear who our new rector was to be!
It has been a long wait since December, and with the Parochial Committee sworn to silence, there had been no clues as to who nor how many candidates had applied.
At the end of each service this Sunday the announcement was finally made to the raucous sounds of cheering and clapping and even a standing ovation at the 10am! If our Interim Rector Rev'd. Nicole was embarrassed, she didn’t show it... she just beamed with the joy surrounding her as her name was announced.
The Parochial Committee was thanked by the Wardens for all their hard work while at the same time expressing that we didn’t make this  decision alone - we looked to the Lord our God to guide us - and we have full trust in our decision.
Welcome Nicole - in the role of continuing in your interim position until October then as our full-time Rector. We look forward to you and Penny making your home here and we hope you will be with us for many years to come!

Join us in celebrating this wonderful news in the life of St. John's! Welcome (again) Rev'd Nicole Uzans!
